An LPFM station is a strictly non-commercial and non-profit operation. We cannot run traditional advertising or sponsorships. Underwriting is allowed, which KIFN-LP is not pursuing at this time. We can, however, run Public Service Announcements (PSAs) when they align with our mission.

Because we want to be a blessing to our community and the organizations that serve it, KIFN-LP will air PSAs. These are offered at no charge. KIFN-LP maintains the right to refuse any PSA that is counter to its mission or its identity as a ministry of Faith Baptist Church.

Policy

1. Purpose

KIFN-LP airs free Public Service Announcements (PSAs) as part of our commitment to serving the local community and fulfilling our noncommercial educational mission. These announcements promote the activities, events, and services of bona fide non-profit organizations and public-interest causes.

2. Eligibility

PSAs may be accepted from:

• 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations
• Local churches, schools, civic groups, and community organizations that maintain a non-profit status
• Government agencies and public safety entities
• Other non-commercial groups that maintain a non-profit status serving the public interest in our listening area

For-profit businesses are not eligible for free PSAs.

3. Content Guidelines

Because the organization is a non-profit, promotional language is permitted. PSAs may include:

• Event details (date, time, location)
• Calls to action (“attend,” “register,” “volunteer,” “donate”)
• Ticket or registration information
• Contact information and website

PSAs may not:

• Promote any for-profit business or commercial product
• Contain political campaign content or advocacy for political candidates
• Contain language that is defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise contrary to the station’s standards

4. Length and Format

• Preferred length: 60 seconds maximum
• Scripts should be clear, concise, and easy to read aloud
• Station staff will produce or record the final announcement

5. Submission Process

• Submit PSA requests by email to contact@cityonahill.radio
• Include: organization name, contact person, phone/email, event details, and preferred air dates
• Requests should be submitted at least 7–14 days in advance when possible
• The station will confirm whether the PSA will be aired

6. Station Discretion

KIFN-LP retains full editorial control. We reserve the right to:

• Edit any submitted script for length, clarity, or compliance
• Decline any PSA that does not meet this policy, station standards, or is not compatible with the positions of Faith Baptist Church
• Limit the number of times or duration a particular PSA airs

7. Scheduling

PSAs are scheduled at the discretion of station staff and may air during available inventory. Frequency is not guaranteed and depends on station programming needs.

8. No Charge

Free PSAs are provided at no cost. The station does not accept payment for standard community PSAs.

9. Record Keeping

The station may keep a simple log of PSAs aired for internal reference. No formal sponsorship identification is required for unpaid PSAs.
